Many people told us that we needed to send FAQNP to Atomic Book, a legendary bookstore in Baltimore. We were thrilled when that agreed to stock us.

magCulture is one of our favorite blogs covering magazines: from print to digital and mass to indie. (Newspapers are included too.)
To celebrate their fifth year, the site hosted a recent marathon review of 24 magazines in 24 hours, which included a very nice review of FAQNP Issue_02.
Thanks!
Please save for the date for the second event, on March 8th, 2011: Selections from the Center Archive (Searching for Queer Nerd Culture).
We’ve been researching the Center’s Archives to present selections looking for evidence of queer nerds.
We’ll be showing evidence of queer nerd culture like an ad for the Backroom BBS from 1987,
a print directory of 2,500 gay websites from 2001, a selection of queer zines from the US and abroad,
and a bunch of other artifacts of our queer nerd history.

Hi there.
We are excited to invite you to the first of a series of event with New York City LGBT Community Center.
It’s entitled Queer Nerds: Yaoi for Beginners .
For the uninitiated, yaoi is a sub-genre of manga (Japanese comics) and anime (Japanese animation) which explore a wide range of male romances. The works are aimed at female audiences, and are often created by women. Over the past few years imported yaoi has been gaining popularity in the US. We will be presenting several examples of yaoi anime (with English voice over or subtitles), and then lead a short discussion. Proceeds from the event will go to the Center.
